What to Expect on Sunday
We have two Sunday service times, 9:00 am and 11:00am. Located at each of the sanctuary entrances is a greeter who will have a current weekly bulletin with news, our upcoming events, life groups, etc. Be sure to visit the welcome table located in the main hallway either before or after the services so that we may have the opportunity to give you a gift and welcome you to Cornerstone Church. We invite you to a light snack and time of fellowship in the main corridor after the services.
Our Worship
The Worship Arts Ministry of Cornerstone Church led by Worship Pastor Ash Braquet, aims to provide an atmosphere for all people to experience the manifest presence of God. We serve Him through high energy music, inspiring drama, powerful visuals through media, and other artistic forms that express our love and devotion to Jesus.
This ministry consists of valuable people who give of their lives serving God and His church, through the music and arts. Each service we invite people to participate in experiencing perhaps the greatest moment of each week... a time to connect with the living God. We invite you to come and witness the life changing power that can happen during our services when we approach God knowing that He will welcome us, just as we are.
Children's Sunday School
The Children's Ministry at Cornerstone Church offers a nursery and Children's Sunday School during both of our services for toddlers and school age children K-6th grade.
REGISTRATION - Register your children at the table centrally located in the main hallway. Each child will receive a band with a removable, corresponding tab for the parent. For infants and toddles placing the band around their ankle is often more acceptable. Keep the removable tab as the last three digits on the tab will be illuminated on the screen in the sanctuary if you are needed during the service.
SECURITY - Our volunteers will ask to see the tab from the band as it is required to pick up you child from any of the classrooms. All our volunteers are required to submit an application and background check before serving in the ministry.
WELLNESS POLICY - To ensure the health of infants and volunteers, we ask that sick children do not attend the nursery.
Baptism
"But when they believed Philip as he preached the Good News... and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women." Acts 8:12As soon as you have decided to receive Christ into your life, you can and should be baptized. We do baptisms once a month or as people approach the church with the request to pronounce their faith to the church body. If you have more questions about baptism or would like to be baptized please call the church office and ask to speak to one of our pastors or send an e-mail to the church office at ccoffice@gci.net and a pastor will contact you.
Dedication of Children
At Cornerstone we wait until our children are old enough to understand their need of repentance and how Jesus can forgive them of sin before we baptize them. We do encourage parent to participate in a Child Dedication in which the parents being their child before God and the church and make a public commitment to raising them according to God’s Word. The pastor will then lead the church in prayer for God's blessing upon the family and ask God to fulfill His will in the child's life. If you would like to schedule a Child Dedication, please call the church office at 349-8442.
